WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Voters in Sedgwick County will head to the polls on Tuesday to vote on positions including City Council members to school board chairs.
Their votes will decide candidates for the general election.
Polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. If you’ve waited until today to vote, you must vote at your assigned polling location.
The primary election typically has a small turnout since it’s a non-partisan election. Historically, there’s about a 6 percent to 10 percent turnout. Approximately 27 percent of registered voters in Sedgwick County are eligible to vote in this primary.
One of the races we’re closely watching is the primary for Wichita City Council District 1 . Five candidates are competing to fill the spot of Brandon Johnson, who has reached his term limit.
