A 70-year-old man who died in a lorry crash on the A71 near Irvine has been named by police.
Abraham Torrance, from the Kilmarnock area, lost his life in the tragedy on the westbound stretch between Corsehillmount Roundabout and Warrix Interchange on Thursday, July 31.
At around 11.10am, a crash involving a grey Kia Ceed and a white DAF HGV took place. Emergency services attended and Mr Torrance, the driver of the car, was pronounced dead at the scene. His family has asked for privacy during this difficult time.
No one else was injured.
