IOWA CITY — Gabe Arnold remains an Iowa wrestler.
The 184-pound NCAA qualifier was the subject of reports that he was dismissed in July, however, Arnold is a member of the Hawkeyes’ men’s wrestling program.
According to Iowa officials in an email to The Gazette, Arnold was “never officially removed from the roster.” Arnold was 19-7 last season, finishing fifth at the Big Ten Championships in March. He has three seasons of eligibility left.
Arnold was an 8-1 in his redshirt season during the 2023-24 season. He was a state champion for Iowa City High and was a two-time National Prep champion for Wyoming (Pa.) Seminary before becoming a Little Hawk. Arnold also won the 79-kilogram title at the
