Teddy Bridgewater’s NFL return appears imminent.

The veteran quarterback is visiting the Buccaneers on Tuesday and is expected to sign with the team, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter .

Tuesday’s news comes one day after Rivals reported that Bridgewater, 32, is pursuing a return to professional football after leaving his job as head football coach of high school powerhouse Miami Northwestern (Fla.). 3

He was suspended by Miami Northwestern last month for allegedly providing impermissible benefits to his players.

Bridgewater led Miami Northwestern to the Class 3A state championship, then joined the Lions as a backup quarterback for last year’s playoffs just weeks after the high school season ended.
