A Renfrewshire man has been jailed after dangerously driving down the A737 at excessive speeds and weaving from lane to lane. ‌

Out-of-control Daniel Rock drove a blue Ford along the A737 from Johnstone to Lochwinnoch at “excessive speeds” in the small hours of July 30. ‌

Rock, of Pine Crescent, attracted cops’ attention when he flashed his full beam on and off at their unmarked police car. ‌

Police then tried to follow the 29-year-old, who was already a disqualified driver, but due to the dangerously high speeds he was driving, officers were unable to stop him.

And when the police finally were able to bring him to a stop and arrest him, he refused to provide a breath sample to determine if he was under the influence; he instead told officers to “f**k off”.
