Huge cannabis farm worth £500,000 uncovered at former pub Police carry out warrant at property in Tickenham and uncover cannabis farm

Police uncovered a huge cannabis farm which was growing almost 500 plants with an estimated street value of £500,000 just outside of Bristol.

Officers carried out a warrant at the Star Inn, a former pub in Tickenham, where the huge underground farm was discovered.

Between 400 and 500 cannabis plants were found in the property and they have been seized.

Four men, aged between 29 and 42 were arrested and taken into police custody.

At the time of reporting, all four have been released on conditional bail.

Members of the public alerted police to suspicious activity at the former pub, which meant officers were able to carry out a proactive warrant.
