NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Authorities in North Charleston are investigating a deadly Tuesday morning auto-pedestrian crash.
Officers with the North Charleston Police Department responded to a crash involving a vehicle and a person in the parking lot of a gas station at 2516 Ashley Phosphate Road around 6:30 a.m.
The pedestrian was found unresponsive when officers arrived. The victim, who has not yet been publicly identified, died at the scene.
Police said the driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
