Aaron Judge is back.

The Yankees plan to activate their superstar captain prior to Tuesday’s game against the Rangers, Aaron Boone told reporters following his club’s brutal loss in Texas on Monday. The move has been expected after Judge hit the injured list with a right flexor strain on July 27.

The Yankees also planned on placing another outfielder, Austin Slater, on the injured list with a left hamstring strain, making for an easy corresponding move for Judge. Slater suffered his injury in Monday’s game.

Judge, meanwhile, hurt himself on a throw during the Bombers’ win in Toronto on July 22, but he played in two more games before going on the IL.

Judge spent this past weekend facing live pitching at the Yankees’ player development complex in Tampa before flying to Texas on Monday
