ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM) – An Elmira man has been sentenced to serve time in state prison after officials say he pleaded guilty to a charge associated with an incident that occurred in November of 2024.

Jacob S. Bulkley, 20, was sentenced on Monday, Aug. 4, to six years in state prison followed by five years of post-release supervision after he pleaded guilty to attempted assault in the first degree on June 16, as stated by the Chemung County District Attorney's Office.

According to previous reports, Bulkley's sentence stems from a domestic incident that occurred on Nov. 13, 2024, where officials say he had hit another person in the head with a hammer.
