DILLON COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) -- The Dillon County Coroner's Office has identified a 52-year-old man who was shot by authorities after a lengthy standoff on Sunday.
Jimmy Jones of Dillon was killed in the shooting, Coroner Donnie Grimsley said. His body will be sent to the Medical University of South Carolina for an autopsy and to determine the cause and manner of death.
The Florence County Sheriff’s Office said Monday it was investigating the incident that happened on Joann Branch Road in Lake View after being requested to do so by the Dillon County Sheriff's Office.
