CITYWIDE — THE AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION HAS RECOGNIZED ALL 11 SITES OF THE NYC HEALTH + HOSPITALS system for their quality care in cardiac disease and stroke. O ne of the Brooklyn locations, NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County Medical Center, was recognized with the American Heart Association’s new Commitment to Quality award that highlights high performance across three or more clinical areas in its Get With The Guidelines program. The 158 hospitals nationwide earning this new award demonstrate a comprehensive approach to quality improvement for patient care. NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County also earned several honor roll recognitions for managing patients’ diabetes and recovery from stroke. NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health earned Get with the Guidelines: Stroke – Gold
