YEMASSEE, S.C. (WSAV) — The Yemassee Police Department (YPD) is hosting a community event to celebrate National Night Out on Tuesday at the Yemassee Municipal Complex.

National Night Out is annually held on the first Tuesday in August and is meant to enhance the relationship between communities and their law enforcement officers.

YPD's event will be from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. at 101 Town Circle. The activities will include giveaways, food, jump houses, a dunk booth and music.

Pastor Willa Young will be the special guest speaker.
