COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Members of the Mothers of Butterflies, Olivia Dugger Chambers and Rubie Neal, dropped by WRBL News 3 and spoke to anchor Teresa Whitaker to discuss the upcoming Gateway Church Disability Awareness Fair.

July 26 had marked the 35th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act, which is a landmark civil rights law in the U.S. that prohibits discrimination based on disability.

The law also ensures equal opportunities for individuals with disabilities in various aspects of life that includes: employment, public accommodations, transportation, and telecommunications.
