ATLANTA (WRBL) — More than 300 Delta contractors at Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport will be laid off by Sept. 30.

Unifi Aviation, a contractor of Delta Airlines, recently filed a Worker Adjustment Restraining Notification (WARN) providing employees with legally required notice of mass layoffs. According to Delta officials, the WARN was filed to comply with the law and does not confirm the loss of jobs.

The layoffs are a part of their expansion plan with catering and facility management company Newrest, officials say.
