WINCHESTER, Indiana — Randolph County Superior Judge Dale Arnett is facing 11 disciplinary charges for allegedly showing an inability to do the job "diligently" and supervise court staff "adequately."

The allegations include getting 10 criminal cases dismissed because the judge didn't act in time. In another case, a man was held for 227 days without ever getting an initial hearing. In another, Arnett allegedly delayed a child exploitation trial by more than a year by failing to schedule hearings.

Arnett was elected to the position in 2020, and the charging documents say the problems with his court started as soon as he starting serving as judge on Jan. 1, 2021.
