INDIANAPOLIS — Marion County Sheriff Kerry Forestal says Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has not housed many detainees in the jail, but the state is keeping hundreds of prisoners there and isn't paying for them.

Forestal posted the statement on Facebook in response to inquiries from the media and citizens.
