Imagine that you’re a little kid. Doesn’t it sound great to hang out in the park with your loved ones while a nice library lady reads picture books aloud?
The Englewood Public Library offers exactly that, as children’s librarian “Miss Kimberly” leads the Storytime in the Park program in two sessions on Friday mornings through September, once at 9:30 a.m. and again at 10:30 a.m.
“We get very, very positive feedback,” said Rachel Fewell, the library director, who said Storytime in the Park is a way to extend summer reading past the usual start-of-school wrap-up.
The remaining sessions this summer are:
· Aug. 8 — Belleview Park (meet along the stream near farm/train)
· Aug. 15 — Canceled
· Aug. 22 — Duncan Park
· Aug. 29 — Romans Park
· Sept. 5 — Bates-Logan Park
· Sept. 12 — Jason P
