STAFFORD, Va. — A 36-year-old man is dead following a crash on Richmond Highway early Tuesday morning. Police say a driver struck a pedestrian and left the scene.
According to a spokesperson with the Stafford County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called to the area of Richmond Highway and Foreston Woods Drive for a reported crash around 2 a.m. Investigators say the man, who has not yet been identified, was walking northbound on the right shoulder of the road when he was hit by a passing vehicle. Evidence at the scene suggests that the vehicle involved may be a white 2018 or 2019 Audi SUV with heavy damage to the right front and right passenger said.
