CHANTILLY, Va. — A man who fled to Turkey one day after he was reportedly caught with a 14-year-old in Fairfax County has been arrested and charged with multiple felonies, including production of child pornography.

According to the Fairfax County Police Department, 50-year-old Akbar Yunusi was arrested while coming back to the United States on Sunday.

The investigation into Yunusi began in April, when the parents of a 14-year-old told officers they found their child in a car with a man in the 14000 block of Braddock Road in Centreville. The parents reportedly confronted the man, whom police identify as Yunusi, and he ran away before police arrived.

Police say Yunusi had met the child over social media and traveled to engage in "illicit acts" on multiple occasions.
