STAFFORD, Va. — A Stafford County man is behind bars after leading deputies on a high-speed chase Thursday night. He is being held without bond on several charges including DUI and reckless driving.

Around 11:45 p.m., a deputy spotted an Acura sedan going 58 mph in a 35 mph zone on Garrisonville Road near Stafford Market Place. The deputy tried to pull the driver over. Instead of stopping, the driver turned off his headlights and drove away.

The driver spun out and hit a curb, but was able to keep going and entered a nearby commuter lot. He performed a loop of the commuter lot and then burst into the roundabout at Juggins Road. He took Doc Stone Road back to Garrisonville Road. The pursuit continued to westbound Garrisonville Road and then a quick U-turn took it back to eastbound Garriso
