Adams 12’s Back to School Bash felt like a party with a purpose.

On a cool August morning, thousands of families filled Five Star Stadium in Thornton, not just to celebrate the district’s 75th anniversary, but to get their students ready with everything from backpacks and vaccines to bus routes and meal benefits.

Held on August 2, this year’s Bash marked the official start of Adams 12’s 75th anniversary and drew its largest turnout yet. Staff handed out around 2,700 backpacks packed with school supplies, tailored to elementary, middle or high school.

Lines curled around the stadium as families waited patiently, some parents juggling paperwork while kids peeked into their new backpacks or chatted excitedly.
