Honolulu firefighters extinguished an overnight fire at a second-floor apartment in McCully, displacing one resident.

The Honolulu Fire Department received a 911 call at 3:12 a.m. for a building fire on Kapiolani Boulevard in McCully. Six units with 27 personnel responded, with the first arriving on scene seven minutes later.

Firefighters found a working fire on the second floor of a two-story walk-up apartment building.

HFD brought the fire under control at 3:25 a.m. and fully extinguished it at 3:45 a.m.

No injuries were reported. The American Red Cross assisted one occupant impacted by the fire.

An investigation into the cause and origin of the fire is underway, with estimated damages.
