EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — There's a heavy police presence in the area of Lincoln Avenue and Kentucky Avenue as authorities search for two suspects.

Officials with the Evansville Police Department tell us two people were stopped in the area of the intersection on Tuesday afternoon, but that they took off running.

Police have now set up a perimeter in the area as the search for both suspects continues.

Our news crew at the scene sees police surrounding an apartment, attempting to get someone out.
