An Arvada man has pleaded not guilty to kidnapping, assault and five other counts related to a May 21 incident at the Golden-area Rock Rest Lodge.
Brandon Montano, 30, was arrested for reportedly attacked a server, choking her and threatening her with a gun. According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, the server didn’t sustain any major injuries.
Meanwhile, Montano was arrested at the Rock Rest that afternoon and has been held at the Jeffco jail on a $100,000 cash bond since then.
Montano appeared via livestream at his Aug. 4 arraignment, where he pleaded guilty plea to all seven charges. He’s scheduled to appear in person for his Sept. 2 pretrial conference, where the parties will schedule a trial in the coming months.
