BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — A woman is now facing two court trials for what police say was repeated neglect of children.
The latest incident happened on Sunday afternoon when Bismarck police say they were called to a mobile home park along S 12th St, where they saw two children outside the home who weren't being watched. An officer reported the children were wearing heavily soiled diapers.
The officer says the children told him where they live. He then spoke to Angel Bratten, who says the kids jumped out the window of the home, and may not have been cleaned or fed for 16 hours.
The officer also says there were no beds for the children, and he saw empty wine bottles on the counter.
Bratten was also arrested for a similar incident in May.
She was back in court on Monday where a judge set her
