MINOT, ND (KXNET) — Minot has selected a new mayor-elect, and after months of campaigning, Mark Jantzer is now getting ready to put his plans in action. KX News' Jack Meyer sat down with him today to discuss what neighbors throughout Minot can expect to see in the coming months.

Mark Jantzer has lived in Minot since 1977 and served on the City Council since 2008. But now, after nearly 50 years in the Magic City, he can add a new title to his resume: Mayor of Minot.

Jantzer received 42.6% of the votes in the special mayoral election. Now, he wants to make sure the city continues to blossom as he prepares to take over as mayor.
