TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — With back-to-school season right around the corner, everyone, not just teachers and families, is preparing for the school year.
The Mid-Columbia Bus Company and first responders held a demonstration at Canyon Ridge High School on Tuesday, simulating a bus crash. The simulation aimed to help everyone prepare for an emergency.
“Well, all of our goal is to transport these students safely to and from school,” said Johna Helmer, the Mid-Columbia Bus Company location manager.
To help make the goal a reality, the bus company held its annual bus driver training before the new school year. The company serves several local school districts, and the training gave drivers the chance to learn what to do in case of an accident.
