EL CENTRO — Assemblymember Jeff Gonzalez of California’s 36th District met with local farmers, ranchers, and officials at the Imperial County Farm Bureau on Monday, August 4, addressing a broad range of concerns affecting agriculture in the region.

Representatives from Holtville Farms, Baja Farms, Brawley Growers, Coachella producers, the Imperial County Executive Office, the Imperial Irrigation District, the Imperial Valley Vegetable Growers Association, and the California State Farm Bureau participated in the roundtable.

The discussion ranged from rising fuel costs to water infrastructure, EV mandates, and tax burdens. Gonzalez opened by pledging to serve as a conduit between local voices and Sacramento.
