DWP PIP figures show how many payments are being reduced
The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has issued figures that show how many payments are stopped or reduced when Personal Independence Payment (PIP) claims are reviewed. People receiving PIP often worry that their benefits may be reduced - or terminated entirely - during reassessment, whether at the conclusion of their fixed-term award or following notification of health changes.
DWP data covering the period up to April 2025 shows that most people undergoing claim reviews maintain their current payment level or receive an increase. Just a small proportion are informed that their PIP is being decreased or discontinued, reports Birmingham Live .
