Moisture moves back into the region Wednesday opening the door for scattered showers and storms to return, with continued scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms Thursday into Friday as well.
A weak area of low pressure will likely form offshore of the southeast coast Thursday into Friday. Chances are low, but a tropical system may to form. Regardless of tropical development, the potential for a good coverage of showers is possible from Wednesday through Friday with chances trending downward into the weekend.
Beachgoers should stay cautious along the Outer Banks with a continued high risk of dangerous rip currents on Wednesday. The risk will be moderate on the Outer Banks Hyde county and low along the Crystal Coast.
