WHITE COUNTY, Ill. (WEVV) — A new facility is being celebrated in White County, Illinois.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Tuesday for the Stanford D. Williams Career and Training Center.

It's located on the Southeastern Illinois College Campus in Carmi.

Officials say the facility represents investment in the future of the community, offering opportunities for those pursuing careers in the skilled trades.

The center is named after Stanford D. Williams who is a Carmi leader and longtime advocate for education and economic opportunity.
