ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) - Photos, that is the only way this family can see their loved one after a shooting in Roanoke stole 48-year old Isaac Cunningham’s life.
“He was a bridge, Ike was a bridge, like no matter what everybody else had going on, like he gonna fix it. He was very loving. He loved, one thing about Ike, he loved family. Like he was a family man.”
Nickie Walker remembering her brother just over a year after Cunningham’s own son was killed by gunfire.
In both cases the suspects in the shootings were teenagers.
“We’re right here again, same situation, 16 year old took his life and a 15 year old took his son’s life,” Walker said.
“It’s sad that they had to sacrifice their lives for this topic of conversation to come back up, but it’s here now so let’s do something about it.”
