EVANSVILLE, ind. (WEVV) — The Evansville African American Museum invites everyone to the 3rd Annual Baptisttown Emancipation Festival.
The event will take place this Saturday, August 9th from 12 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Festival admission is free.
Organizers say there will be a Historical Marker Dedication, vendors, music, and a chance to explore the newly restored Porter House.
We're told the festival honors the journey from Emancipation to Empowerment, while celebrating local Black History.
