MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) – The National Dominican Day Parade is bringing culture, music and thousands of marchers to New York City this Sunday.

This year’s theme is “Unidos en Cultura y Tradicion,” meaning united in culture and tradition.

Here’s everything you need to know about this year’s parade:

Timing

The parade kicks off at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 10 in Manhattan.

Parade route

Anyone marching in the parade is expected to show up at 8 a.m. The parade will form at 36th Street from 5th Avenue to Broadway and 37th and 38th streets from 5th to 7th avenues, according to organizers.

The parade will then march down 6th Avenue from 37th to 55th streets.

This year's grand marshal is Nelson Cruz, a former Dominican-Am
