DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — More on-and-off heavy rain is forecast for much of The Wiregrass on Wednesday, increasing the risk of flooding for yet another day.
A Flood Watch is in effect through 7 p.m. CDT for Geneva, Houston, Henry and Early counties.
In the latter county, some places picked up more than one foot of rain since Friday, according to radar-estimated rainfall totals.
Another one to three inches of rain could fall Wednesday, with isolated amounts of up to five inches.
There is also the potential for strong storms this afternoon, which could bring frequent lightning and wind gusts up to 50 mph.
While flooding and strong storms are possible areawide today, the highest risk will be in the counties under the advisory.
