MIAMI GARDENS — The deeper the Miami Dolphins get into training camp, the tougher it gets for them to incorporate veteran tight end Darren Waller into practice out of retirement.

Waller started camp on the physically-unable-to-perform list as coach Mike McDaniel noted, while he was in tremendous physical shape, he didn’t want to throw him into football practices after missing all of 2024.

Now, the Dolphins are at a point in camp where practice intensity ramps up and they’re soon to go against an opponent in Chicago on Friday for a joint practice with the Bears.
