BELMONT COUNTY, OH (WTRF) - It was perhaps the most horrific crime in Ohio Valley history. Nathan Brooks, at age 17, murdered both his parents in their home in Bellaire in 1995, saying he was a Satan worshipper.

He stabbed his mother and shot her, then beheaded his father.

Now, 30 years later, he is about to ask the parole board to release him from prison.

One of the people speaking out in that hearing will be Belmont County Prosecutor Kevin Flanagan.

Flanagan says his office has already submitted in writing the recommendation that parole should be denied.
