COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — With an increased West Nile virus infection rate, health leaders are reminding community members to protect themselves from mosquitoes.
Columbus Public Health (CPH) just put out another round of mosquito traps. They will be out for about a day and then get collected so the pools can be tested.
“We usually see them in areas where our positive traps that are in areas that are dense with a lot of green, shrubbery, trees, and we’ve seen them spread out this year a lot further," Columbus Health Commissioner Dr. Mysheika Roberts said.
