HYDE PARK — Are you a puzzle fan that loves a good escape room? The Griffin Museum of Science and Industry has a new one that runs throughout the entire museum.

The after-hours puzzle event “Escape the Museum” returns to the museum, 5700 S. DuSable Lake Shore Drive, after its successful debut last year, which was combined with the temporary “007 Science: Inventing the World of James Bond” exhibition.

The Wandering Alchemist is this year’s theme for the escape event, which traverses throughout the expansive museum’s many galleries after regular visiting hours.

Kate Higbee, the museum’s senior director of brand engagement and events, told Block Club that the museum worked with a new game designer this year.
