CUMBERLAND – The Cumberland Community Celebration, the replacement for old favorite CumberlandFest, returns for a third straight year to Diamond Hill Park, 4125 Diamond Hill Road, this Saturday, Aug. 9, from 4 to around 9 p.m.
The event features food trucks, music from two bands on the main stage overlooking the pond, vendors, children’s and family games and activities, and fireworks.
Fireworks, said Parks and Recreation Director Mike Crawley, organizer for the event, will be around 8:45 p.m. Visitors can expect much better viewing of fireworks from inside the park, as smaller shells will be used for this year’s display to reduce the radius they have to clear from about 600 feet to approximately 200 feet.
