CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Panthers star defensive back Jaycee Horn missed practice on Wednesday after being involved in a car wreck near Bank of America Stadium, the team announced.

A team spokesperson confirmed that Horn was heading to the facility when he was in a crash at the corner of Mint and Morehead streets in Uptown. No one was taken to the hospital, according to the Panthers, and Horn was evaluated by team medical personnel.

The Panthers opened joint practice with the Cleveland Browns on Wednesday ahead of Friday's preseason opener at Bank of America Stadium.

Horn signed a four-year, $100 million extension with the Panthers during the offseason. The deal made him the highest-paid cornerback in NFL history.
