In the midst of Rufus Du Sol’s encore Tuesday night, Aug. 5, at the Pine Knob Music Theatre, vocalist Tyrone Lindqvist sang that “there’s no place I’d rather be.”

The Australian trio has been coming to these parts for nearly a decade — since November of 2015 at Detroit’s Masonic Temple Auditorium — stepping up in stature each time.
