INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD is investigating a shooting on the east side of Indianapolis Wednesday afternoon.

Officers responded to a report of a person shot in the 8200 block of Wysong Drive , near Interstate 70 and North Franklin Road, around 12:15 p.m. Aug. 6.

When officers arrived on scene, they found a person who had been shot. Medics took the person in critical condition to a hospital.

Officers detained one person at the scene. On Aug. 7, an IMPD spokesperson said that person was arrested for their alleged involvement.

No additional details have been released.
