WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Kansan Ava Johnson is the new Princess of America Junior Ambassador.

We first introduced you to Ava last year as she donated hundreds of socks and underwear to Ember Hope.

Now, she’s fresh off the Princess of America stage with her new national title for community service and annual “Socks and Undies” drive for kids in foster care.

“This means so much for me because now I can promote my platform nationwide and I can also promote my Socks and Undies drive nationwide,” Johnson said. “Last time when I was donating socks and undies I had already collected over 20,000 pairs in the state of Kansas, so imagine how much i can collect from going state to state.”
