WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office said possible explosives were found during a narcotics investigation south of Haysville.

Several law enforcement agencies are working the scene at 87th and S. Meridian, including the sheriff’s office, Sedgwick County Fire Department and Sedgwick County EMS.

A 12 News reporter saw FBI agents and ATF personnel on the scene.

The Wichita Police Department bomb squad has been called to the scene. The department’s bomb squad robot was seen at the location.

Both lanes of Meridian are closed from W. 87th Street South and W. 97th Street South. People in three homes directly south of the house where possible explosives were found have been asked to leave.
