GREENE CO — The Greene County Long Term Recovery Group has scheduled its next meeting for Tuesday, August 12, at 4 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Greene County Foundation office, located on the fairgrounds at 4513 West State Road 54.

The all-volunteer group is responsible for coordinating various disaster recovery efforts, including case management, donation oversight, volunteer coordination, construction, and emotional support services.

The group’s efforts come in the wake of recent events that have left 26 properties destroyed and an additional 56 sustaining significant damage. Damage assessments are ongoing, and the group’s work is focused on helping the affected residents of Greene County.
