A Fall River father was found guilty of sexually assaulting his three minor daughters during child visitations, prosecutors said.
Daniel Arruda, 46, was convicted of multiple counts of indecent assault and battery on a child, and aggravated rape of a child in New Bedford Superior Court on July 31, Bristol District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn III’s office said.
Arruda committed the acts on various dates between 2013 and 2021 when the children were between the ages of 12 and 16, the statement said. The children did not live with Arruda after he and the children’s mother divorced.
In May 2021, the youngest daughter disclosed the abuse which led to Arruda being charged, the statement said.
Arruda is currently in custody and will be sentenced on Sept. 5 in Fall River Superior Court.
