GREENSBORO, N.C. — Two people have been arrested after a 19-year-old was shot and killed on West Market Street in Greensboro on Tuesday night.

According to the Greensboro Police Department, officers were dispatched to West Market Street shortly after 9 p.m. on Tuesday in reference to a man who had been shot. When they arrived on scene, officers located Joshua Smith Cordoba, 19, suffering from a gunshot wound.

Cordoba was taken to a local hospital but later died from his injuries. After an initial investigation, police arrested 23-year-old Phillip Lee Perryman and 19-year-old Jiavair Howard in connection with the man's death.

Perryman has been charged with one count of first-degree murder, while Howard was charged with one count of robbery with a dangerous weapon. Both men are currently
