The Columbia Stormwater Utility will close Vandiver Drive to through traffic between Sylvan Lane and Nelwood Drive starting Monday, according to a news release.
Access to all drive approaches will remain open, and the work is set to be completed by Oct. 31, according to the release.
The Stormwater Utility is closing the road to replace eight stormwater inlets and existing pipe with 10 new inlets, six stormwater structures and approximately 2,080 feet of new stormwater pipe on Vandiver Drive and Sylvan Lane, according to the release. The replacement aims to prevent flooding.
The new stormwater system will drain to a regional detention basin, according to the release.
