Almost two weeks after he was first connected to Vancouver, Thomas Müller is officially a Whitecap.

The German football superstar announced on social media Wednesday morning his deal to join the Major League Soccer side is done and shortly thereafter, so did the Whitecaps.

The terms are what we already know: he’ll be a Whitecap through the end of 2026 at least, with the remaining months of this season spent as a “TAM” player, making a smaller salary, with his wage ballooning next year and him taking on designated player status, essentially putting him outside the salary cap.
